A Sky Painting

I got to do it again; a sky mural. This time, it’s to decorate a future child’s bedroom. The clients wanted a blue sky, with few clouds. They’re from the south of France and miss clear blue skies or shall I say, are fed up with the predominant gray of Paris.




Impressionist painting was not the model this time but paintings by Titian! I love it. It wasn’t a complicated painting to do. Even though the palette was simplified to a maximum, the decor's neither boring to look at or was it boring to do as it’s still incredibly pleasant painting clouds. It's almost dreamy. The bonus of this big blue rectangle on the wall was that it surprisingly makes the room more luminous. To fair skies.

J’ai pu faire un ciel du nouveau. C’était pour décorer une chambre d’enfant. Les clients voulaient un ciel bleu avec peu de nuages comme chez eux dans le Midi. Ils ont marre du ciel de Paris.)
Cette fois-ci, le modèle de ciel n’était pas par les Impressionnistes mais plutôt par Titien. J’adore ! Ce n’était pas compliqué à faire et bien que la palette soit simplifiée, le décor n’est pas ennuyeux. C’est même très agréable de peindre des nuages, très rêveur. Ce grand rectangle bleu a même rendu la pièce plus lumineuse !
